We skipped our last update because we were at our company offsite. In the past four weeks, our team has completed Loopring Protocol 2.0, updated our relays and interfaces, successfully held a LoopringDEX Trading Competition and sponsored two Hackathons (CryptoBazar and ETHSanFrancisco).
Loopring Protocol 2.0 code has been completed. Check here for a brief overview of features. Code optimization is nearly finished and has greatly reduced gas usage. We also changed the format of the data we send to the smart contract to settle rings to reduce its size. The new format now allows us to more easily add data for new functionality while maintaining backward compatibility.
Loopring Protocol 2.0 smart contract will support EIP 712, a scheme to encode data and structure to allow meaningful messages to be displayed to users for verification when signing.
We have passed stress tests for matching ten orders in a single order-ring.
We have signed a contract with a professional third party security firm to audit and review our 2.0 code. The results will be delivered before Dec 15, 2018.
We have fixed several ticker bugs and revised and checked relay database table and index. Meanwhile we were optimizing ring-tracker data and order matching depth. Our relay 1.0’s focus is now to develop the module for marketcap and functionality.
This LoopringDEX Trading Competition has taught us that we must create a more user-friendly orderbook module. We have decided to redesign the orderbook module, and is one of Lightcone relay’s core improvements. We believe the new module will significantly improve matching efficiency.
Frontend & Product
We launched RingTracker, a tool to help visualize the activity on the Loopring network. Activity is still limited as we are a few months away from professional market makers accessing the ecosystem, but there was a large spike last week due to the trading competition. A new and improved RingTracker update is still ongoing.
In the past four weeks, we have released four updates for Loopring partner wallex Up Wallet to improve user experience We also sourced the price data from Coinmarketcap. User now choose referral price in P2P order.

Android codebase is almost finished and the app functions very well. We have made a few more improvements, including UI/UX testing, token customisation, QR scan etc…
